Denise Airey first set up HealthCare Training Service as a sole trader in 1994 when spending cuts threatened her ability to continue to deliver clinical training to healthcare professionals. A firm believer that quality patient care is dependent on training in critical skills such as advanced life support and advanced resuscitation she didn’t hesitate in stepping away from her role in government to go it alone.
 
More than 20 years later and HealthCare Training Service is an award winning provider of clinical training services that attracts over 4500 local, national and international healthcare professionals every year. Marie Deane, March 2016 

In 2008 Marie Deane started Clean Response, a small Brisbane cleaning business that provides retail, real estate, and office cleaning services, with just a second-hand vacuum cleaner and her own savings. As a small business Clean Response is sensitive to the particular needs of their small business clients, whether it’s the good impression left on customers from a clean store, or the need to fit around office hours to get the job done.

They also understand that one size doesn’t always fit all and offer tailored cleaning services to suit the size and needs of different businesses. This is a trait they share with Wilson Teis who have been a part of the Clean Response team from the start.

‘Wilson Teis have always been sensitive to the particular needs and constraints of a very small business. They gave me a service that was affordable and Michael and Coral would always speak to me if I rang up with a question.’

In seven years Clean Response has grown to be a thriving small business employing 10 cleaners but in the early days this success didn’t always look assured. Early on when profits were very low and closure was a possibility it was Marie’s welfare that was at the heart of the advice from Mike at Wilson Teis.

As success took hold Wilson Teis were able to guide Marie on increasing profits and stepping back to manage more, and they remain an integral part of the team today.
